Dr. Shamira Hudda is the founder of Art of Wellness. With a special interest in women’s health, she provides an integrative approach to help people live at their fullest potential. Each person’s unique physical, mental and emotional well-being is considered in developing a customized plan that is patient-centered and results-driven.
Dr. Shamira’s educational background began with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo which included coursework in chemistry, physiology, immunology, nutrition and toxicology. After completing her studies at U of W, she proceeded to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. During her four years at CMCC, her curriculum included anatomy, biochemistry, radiology, x-ray diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques as well as a full year of clinical residency at both the Sherbourne Health Centre as well as the CMCC Campus Walk-in Clinic.
Having a desire to provide more for patients, Dr. Shamira also completed the two-year Continuing Education Acupuncture Program at CMCC. Following graduation from CMCC, she obtained a Fellowship in Nutritional Supplementation and Anti-aging from the Renai Sante Institute of Integrative Medicine. Now with three modalities and a passion for integrative care, Art of Wellness was created in May 2007 and continues to grow, primarily from word-of-mouth!
As a believer in wellness and prevention, Dr. Shamira sees her chiropractor regularly and has routine acupuncture sessions to ensure her body is functioning optimally. In addition, she has incorporated a healthy diet, supplementation, yoga and fitness training into her lifestyle. “I am always looking to improve myself and live my best life everyday” explains Dr. Shamira “I believe everyone has the right to feel great and full of energy. I hope I can be a source of inspiration for people to live well and be well.”
